The Oakland County Child Killer – Seeking Justice
The Oakland County Child Killer is responsible for the kidnapping and murder of 4 Oakland County Michigan children in 1976 and 1977; 2 boys and 2 girls. These unsolved killings still leave families devastated and a community haunted by unanswered questions. Currently, the Michigan State Police possess an unidentified DNA profile found on two of the victims and one from an automobile. A modern “Genetic Genealogy” profile could quite possibly close this case but thus far the DNA has not been submitted. Why is this?
This site exists to shed light and provide information and documents on a child killer case approaching 50 years old and still unsolved. We will provide a depository of resources without the conjecture, conspiracy theories, and misinformation so prevalent from day one of the investigation. We encourage you to read through and search the information found here. Information which became obscured over the years from sources no longer online, and projects that never came to fruition.
Goals:
- To restore the website “A Father’s Story” written by Barry King (This has been finished)
- To provide a searchable database for all FOIA documents released to the King family
- To keep the public informed about developments related to the investigation
